I have a legal copy of Windows XP Pro and I needed to reinstall on the machine it was purchased for. Guess what, Microsoft wants me to call them to activate it. Screw them. It&#8217;s faster for me to install an older version and bypass validation than it is to call them up and answer stupid questions about a piece of software that is legitimate. Punishing customers to try and reduce piracy is idiotic at best.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe I&#8217;ll rethink that decision to buy Windows 7 when it comes out.
